I'm Joy Nicolas, a product designer based in Pune with twelve years across enterprise SaaS, design systems, and AI-driven interfaces. An AI stylist that helps luxury shoppers decide what to buy — then compresses checkout into a 10-second review.

A self-initiated, end-to-end redesign of a luxury fashion app: the AI proposes complete looks with reasons up-funnel, so checkout becomes a single confident review. Shipped as a working animated prototype, an annotated 7-screen flow board, and a live tokenised design system — mirrored 1:1 in Figma.

Turning 40+ shattered demo files into one live design system BDMs actually wanted to use.

Microsoft Data & AI DREAM Demos are clickable industry stories Microsoft sellers walk customers through. When I joined, files were chaos — and the demos showed it. I proposed and shipped an atomic design system that changed how the team built every demo afterwards.

Case 03 / Thinkproject · 2025

A Report Issue module that lets site engineers flag a fault without leaving the 3D model.

For Thinkproject's VDC platform, I designed a way to report construction faults straight from the 3D model — element, location and photo captured in-context — cutting a ~10-minute, app-switching process down to about two.

Case 04 / Design System · 2026

A single-file upload component — and the scalable design system underneath it.

One component, used to prove how I build for scale: a three-tier token architecture (Core → Semantic → Component), theming driven by variable modes so one toggle reskins everything with zero component edits, and primitives composed instead of duplicated — including a nested component cut from 12 variants to 3.

Two live apps — designed and shipped in 6 to 7 hours each.

AI handled the code. I held the design intent. Both are deployed and usable right now.

Three things I bring to a team.

I look for the problem behind the problem.

Messy files aren't a designer problem if they're producing a customer problem. The work I'm proudest of usually starts with naming the second-order effect nobody else has connected yet.

/ 02

I design systems, not screens.

Twelve years in enterprise SaaS has taught me that one shared component beats fifty pixel-perfect comps. I build foundations other designers move faster on top of — with WCAG 2.2 baked in.

I use AI as a multiplier, not a designer.

My workflow pairs structured Claude prompts with my own research and design intent. The model accelerates the work; the judgement stays mine. Loop and Guestchat are proof.
